WRG Digital Call-Out 2026: Generation Xi (White Rabbit Gallery)

White Rabbit Gallery, the Sydney museum housing one of the world’s largest collections of Chinese contemporary art, invites emerging artists and designers to create an animation or digital artwork for its website landing page. This round’s theme, Generation Xi, is tied to the exhibition of the same name and asks applicants to respond to China’s youth generation, shaped by AI, humanoid robotics and the EV revolution, drawing on the ‘New Ugly’ aesthetic of chaos, imperfection and visual excess. Open internationally to artists and designers aged 18 or over who are within the first ten years of their practice and are not represented by a commercial gallery or design agency; students and collaborative groups may apply. Work created primarily using AI is not eligible. The winner receives an AUD 2,000 artist fee, five months of 24/7 display on the gallery’s landing page, social media promotion, mentoring from design studio Spring in Alaska, and permanent inclusion in the WRG Digital Archive. The work is delivered online, so the opportunity is remote-friendly. There is no application fee. Deadline: Monday 14 September 2026.
