Frida: The Making of an Icon
About this exhibition
A major retrospective at Tate Modern bringing together more than 130 works by Frida Kahlo, including her famous self portraits, photographs and personal memorabilia, alongside pieces by contemporaries and artists she inspired.
The exhibition explores her role as a devoted wife, intellectual, modern artist and political activist, and examines the diverse communities who continue to embrace her as a cultural and global icon. On view 25 June 2026 to 3 January 2027.
