Through my paintings I explore the interaction between the spirit of living beings and the environment. My work likes to capture moments, memories, making them timeless. Each painting is both personal and universal, a story, the endless search for connection. The color palette I use depends on the feeling that the composition inspires me. Most of the times is warm and vibrant, my brushwork evokes movement and emotion, translating the fleeting into the eternal. Each of my works begins with a scarlet red background, a foundation of warmth and pulse, a symbol of the passion and vitality that lives beneath every surface. Over this red I sketch my compositions in ultramarine blue, tracing them with strong lines. As I paint, I build the worlds from front to back, going kind of backwards, allowing the scarlet red to bleed through the layers of color. This process, with is both intuitive and disciplined, reflects the theme of my art: presence, memory and the dynamic between what is seen and what is felt.
