| Biography |
Sue Ransley is a Sussex-based figurative artist who paints everyday people, aiming to capture warmth, humour, and familiarity. Inspired by people-watching, she sketches and photographs moments that reflect human nature. Sue began painting later in life, and now works primarily in oils, drawing with paint, and only including sufficient background to give her people context. Occasionally Sue uses water-based media in a more intuitive, zen-like approach, but regardless of medium, she focuses on conveying the essence of her subjects rather than fine detail, offering a light-hearted, human perspective through her art.
