Hi, my name is Lewis Greenidge-Gayle and I am an illustrator of English and mixed Caribbean heritage, born and based in London.

I previously worked as an artist in residence for London Southbank University where my commissions were to produce images and artwork with the theme of bringing the external world inside. I graduated from Ravensbourne University, London and received a bachelors honors degree in illustration for communication.

My process of working is by firstly using pencil, fineliner pens and paper and then completing images on Photoshop.

I am inspired by spaces, environments, stories and a world imagined and my passion is creating bold cartoon-like characters and environments.

I would describe my brand as colourful, bold and uncomplicated and I believe my illustrations have a naïve honesty, simplicity and innocence about them, which speaks to the child within us all.

I enjoy working day or night listening to music. I love to travel, engage with the creative arts, and to scoot around London and Worthing.

I also love to apply my illustrations within branding and on to products, as well as within publishing, video games, textiles and animation.
