| Biography |
Gwenda Jones is a Midlands and Yorkshire-based sculptor whose work explores the relationships between humanity, care, nature, and identity. Through bold ceramic forms, layered textures, and colour, she reflects on strength, fragility, and our shared environments.
A finalist and exhibitor in the Sculpture category of the Woman in Art Prize 2025, Gwenda’s work has been shown nationally with the Society of Women Artists at the Mall Galleries, The Sculpture Lounge Open, Coventry Open, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA), the Society of Equestrian Artists, the Association of Animal Artists, The Sculpture Gallery, Leeds, Potfest and in independent galleries across the UK.
Gwenda embraced sculpture during and after a successful career in commercial and high-end residential interiors and holds a BA (Hons) in Three-Dimensional Design. Her sculptures are held in private collections in the UK and USA, and through her love of clay, she runs inclusive workshops with art societies, community groups, and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) participants.
