Award-winning Lancashire-based intuitive artist Kirsten Todd has painted since childhood, driven by a lifelong fascination with colour, energy and the human spirit. After gaining a degree in graphic design, she built a 30-year career in the design industry while continuing to paint alongside her professional practice. For the past seven years, Kirsten has focused on painting full-time, developing a distinctive contemporary style rooted in intuition and energetic expression.

Working primarily in acrylics, Kirsten creates expressive portraits and abstracts through an intuitive, layered process that she describes as a working meditation. Entering a state of flow, she channels marks instinctively, allowing each piece to evolve organically. Her spiritual perspective plays a central role in her work, informing themes of vibration, frequency and our deep interconnection with all that exists.

Her portraits celebrate the divine feminine, female empowerment and cultural diversity, giving women a voice and honouring both inner strength and vulnerability. Kirsten challenges traditional perceptions of beauty, particularly around ageing, revealing beauty as something that deepens through lived experience, resilience and wisdom. Her abstract works explore the forces of nature and our symbiotic relationship with the living world, reflecting the belief that everything is energy, interconnected and conscious.

Kirsten’s work has been widely recognised. Her recent achievements include winning the British Art Prize Edding Acrylic Award (2022), being a finalist in the Society of Women Artists Open Exhibition (2023), winning the Galeria Moderna London Invitational Art Contest at Castle Fine Art, Mayfair (2023), and receiving Certificates of Artistic Merit from the Luxembourg Art Prize and the Pinacotheque Museum for 5 consecutive years (2021–2025)
