I intended this painting as a quiet echo from another time, suspended between memory and imagination. Inspired by “Before the Coffee Gets Cold” it portrays the woman who can never leave her seat, forever caught in the space between regret and remembrance.
The warm reds and deep violets create a dialogue between stillness and emotion, between light that comforts and shadows that hold secrets. The café around her becomes a time capsule, each frame on the wall a fragment of a story, each brushstroke a trace of what’s been lost.
It’s a meditation on longing, on choices that shape us, and on the temptation of staying still when time moves on.
