Summary of Ad Parnassum
One of the greatest examples of Klee’s mastery of colour may be seen in this painting, which is regarded his masterpiece. A strong black outline sets the blocks of shifting colours in place, evoking the notion of a building or a house.
One of the best examples of Klee’s pointillism and technical ability as an artist can be seen in this piece of work. In addition to being a talented artist, he was also an excellent instructor of colour theory and mixing.
For his main treatise, a collection of lectures on form and design theory, he titled it Writings on Form and Design Theory.
