Balloon with Girl (also known as Girl and Balloon) is a 2002-started London series of stencil paintings by graffiti artist Banksy, depicting a young girl with her hand extended toward a red heart-shaped balloon that is swept away by the wind.

Waterloo Bridge was the site of the first mural, and others were painted all throughout London, but none of them can be found there any longer.. Banksy has used variations of this artwork on multiple occasions to support social initiatives, including in 2005 for the West Bank barrier, in 2014 for the Syrian refugee crisis, and in 2017 for the UK election. According to a survey conducted by Samsung in 2017, the United Kingdom’s most beloved piece of art was Girl with Balloon.

Banksy had a mechanical mechanism hidden in the frame of one of his framed works, which caused it to spontaneously shred during an auction in 2018. Banksy confirmed that he was the one who shredded the artwork and renamed it Love Is in the Bin after he admitted responsibility for it. Sotheby’s described it as “the first work in history to be made during a live auction.”
