A major retrospective at Tate Britain, the first in Europe for thirty years, showcasing James McNeill Whistler’s pioneering work from his early years in St Petersburg through to his final period in London. The exhibition features well known and never before seen portraits, landscapes, prints and designs, highlighting his innovative techniques and his lasting influence on nineteenth century art.
